Deloris Gadwood

Deloris Gadwood, 74, Overland Park, KS made her final journey to Heaven on April 16, 2015 with her family by her side.  A visitation will be held 10:00-11:00AM, Tuesday, April 21, 2015 at Holy Spirit Catholic Church, Overland Park, KS. A funeral Mass will follow at 11:00AM.  Burial in St. Joseph Cemetery, Shawnee, KS.

She was preceded in death by: husband, Laurence; son, Robert and an infant son.  Deloris is survived by; daughter & son in law, Lisa & Danny Thompson; grandchildren, Tara Waltz, Danielle Hoops, Andy Thompson, Conner & Brian Gadwood; five great grandchildren; sister, Chloeanne Longgood, brother, Raymond Haguewood and many nieces and nephews.

Deloris will be remembered as being loving & kind.  She shared a passion for music, dancing, her love of nature, bird watching & fishing.  Deloris loved babysitting her grand & great grandchildren and worked at a daycare where all the kids loved Miss Dee.  She valued all of her relationships with friends and enjoyed her time at Brookdale.  Above all things Deloris loved & treasured her family, a value which she instilled in her family.

    Deloris was a sweet lady, she loved kids at CDC. I loved working with her. I will Pray for Gadwood family.
