Denise Andrews Ridings, 48, Lee’s Summit, Missouri passed away June 19th, 2014 at her home surrounded by her loving family. Visitation will be held 5:00 – 7:00 PM, Thursday, June 26, 2014 at Blue Springs Christian Church, 7920 Missouri 7, Blue Springs, MO 64014. Funeral services will follow at 7:00 PM at the church. Graveside services will be held 11:00 AM, Friday June 27, 2014 at Blue Springs Cemetery, Blue Springs, MO. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Denise Ridings Memorial Fund, c/o Central Bank, 238 Madison St, Jefferson City, Missouri 64101 to be used for her son’s college education.
Denise was born April 15, 1966 in Jefferson City, Missouri. She was a devoted follower of Christ, a mother of two amazing boys, a pediatric occupational therapist, business woman, volunteer at school, and a member of Women of Influence for Christ. Denise enjoyed watching movies with her boys, personal growth and spending time with her family and friends.
She was preceded in death by her father, Donald Andrews. Denise is survived by; husband, Scott Ridings; sons, Caleb Scott Ridings and Joshua Raymond Ridings of the home; mother, Shirley Andrews; sisters & brothers-in-law, Julie & Rob Goth; Beth & Warren Stieferman and Joyce & Keith Eveler; mother & father-in-law, Sue & Max Ridings; brother and sister-in-law, Chris & Mary Ridings and many nephews, nieces, aunts, uncles, and cousins.
I went to high school with Denise and remember her as a girl who always had a smile for everyone. I would like to express my condolences to her husband, her sons and all of her family who loves her. Sadly, she is gone too soon.
I went to school with Denise and my thoughts and prayers are with her family and friends during this difficult time everyone who knew her had a very special angel looking over them you all have my prayers
My sympathies to all of you! I was also a classmate of Denise’s. She was always ready with her beautiful smile and kind heart. I hope all the prayers will bring peace and hope to your family.
My husband Jeff and I have known Denise and Scott for several years as business associates and freinds. Denise was a beautiful person both inside and out. We admired her faith and fearless attitude. Our deepest sympathy goes out to Scott, their sons and her entire family. May God bless and keep you in his care and give you peace.
I to went to high school with Denice! What a talented, beautiful young lady and gone too soon! Since I had learned of her illness she and her family have been in my thoughts and prayers and will continue to be. GOD BLESS YOU ALL!
Denise was a beautiful person that will leave many memories behind. Her smile lives on in Joshua and Caleb. Our condolences go out to Scott, the boys and the extended family. They all had a tough week and are in our prayers.

Scott, we were so very sad to read in this morning’s paper of Denise’s passing. We remember what a good neighbor she and you were. Denise was always smiling and positive. And full of the joy of Christ! Our prayers are with you and your family.

Scott – I’m sorry to hear about your loss of your wife. I didn’t hear anything about when her service was because would have been there for you & your family. My prayers & thoughts are with you & your family through these rough times & days. That sad that Denise has gone to be with the Lord so soon & young also.
