Dennis Shigemura, 76, Independence, Mo passed away January 24, 2018 at White Oak Care Center. A visitation will be held 9-10 AM on Sat. Feb. 3, 2018 with a memorial service to follow at 10 AM at Heartland, 6113 Blue Ridge Blvd., Raytown, Mo 64133.
Dennis was preceded in death by his wife, Janet; parents Sandy and Doris Shigemura;and son Robin Shigemura. Survivors include his daughter, Rachel & Patrick Knott; sisters, Carol Underwood, Suzie Moss & Kay Crabtree.

Uncle Dennis was my namesake as name is Dennis Crabtree. Dennis & Janet always welcomed me and my brother Richard. And Robin faced alot of disabilities but with the LOVE of his parents succeeded in everything he did. I miss all of them so much. To Dennis I’m sorry I didn’t hold up the name as you did. I was pretty much on my own when I decided to take Rick and I to visit when I decided to move back to Kansas. Grampa, Grandma, Dennis, Janet, Robin and Rachel I hadn’t seen in 20 years because of my Dad. They always took care of Rick and I. RIP all of you. RICK AND I MISS YOU DEARLY. Maybe one day I’ll see you all again. GOD BLESS AND TAKE CARE OF YOU.
