Years go by before we can look back on life and see Through older eyes and wiser hearts his love and loyalty. I just heard the news today. So sorry that I wasn’t able to be there for the service to pay my respects. What a special friend and neighbor for years in Ottumwa. How many people would walk out of their house with a gun and offer to shoot a sick racoon after the police officer missed it seven times asking, “Kin I take care of that for ya, Son?” Or helped me run a groundhog out of my garage? Wayne, you gave me more laughs than any one person deserves. I still wonder to this day how many people you told that you always got a call from the local bar on Friday nights to come get me because I fell off my bar stool again actually believed that story! You will be missed. Love to Judy and the rest of your family – Jan
