Diane D. Glenz passed away on Saturday, July 10, 2010 at the age of 54. Diane has been a resident of Boonville, MO since June of 2007. She was born Diane Lynn McElroy in Kenton, OH on February 26, 1956. She leaves friends in the cities of Richwood, OH; Kansas City, MO; Tampa, FL; and Roanoke, TX.
She is survived by her husband, Tom Glenz, of Boonville, MO; son, Nicholas Dierkes, of Charlotte, NC; daughter, Jan Marie Burke, of Denver, CO; brother, Scott McElroy, of Chapel Hill, NC; and parents, Merle and Mary McElroy, of Richwood, OH. She is preceded by her sister Cathy Ann McElroy.
Memorial services will be held at Nelson Memorial United Methodist Church on Thursday, July 15, at 1:00 p.m. Diane treasured life and lived it to the fullest. She loved the outdoors, especially hiking, biking and camping. She was a wonderful mother and wife and was overwhelmingly loved by her family and friends. In lieu of flowers, please make a donation in Diane’s name to the Friends of the Boonslick Regional Library at 618 Main St., Boonville, MO 65233.

A tragic loss to all of us who knew and loved her. We were proud and delighted to share much laughter and many joyful bicycle rides with her. Surely she’s blazing a trail in heaven.

We were so sorry to hear about Diane’s death. Our deepest sympthay goes out to the whole family. We were very glad that she and Jan stopped to see us last year on their trip and will treasure their visit.

We have many treasured memories of not just Diane, but the time we all shared together. Some of the best times we have had were spent with all of you. Diane was such a special person, we loved her very much. We wish there was more we could do to help, something we could say to help the pain of loss. Just know that you are in our prayers and that we love you and cherish your friendship.
