D’Mitri Xavier Salazar

D’Mitri Xavier Salazar passed away February 1, 2020. D’Mitri was born December 24, 1996, in Kansas City, Missouri to Robert A. Salazar and Annathesia Reyes. D’Mitri had one daughter, three brothers, and two sisters. He was a devoted father and loving brother and son.

A visitation will be held on Tuesday, February 11, 2020 at 10:00AM at Heartland Cremation & Burial Society with a Mass to follow beginning around 11:15AM. Burial at Brooking Cemetery will begin at 12:00PM in Raytown.

There are no words to express the amount of love and kindness D’Mitri held in his heart for his family. He had the best smile and an infectious laugh. He was a lover of history and was good with construction. He was strong yet gentle in heart.

D’Mitri is survived by his daughter Sofia Rodriguez; brothers: Dominic Salazar, Brennan Salazar, and Henry Garner III; sisters: Chloe Salazar and Maricela Reyes; mother: Annathesia Reyes (Henry Garner Jr.); father: Robert A. Salazar (Sherry Salazar) stepmother; grandparents: Helen Charney (Jeff Charney), Paula Quijas, Bob Salazar, Tony Reyes (Annie Reyes); great grandparents Velia Salazar and Catalina Reyes; uncles: Jeremiah Thomas, Jonathan Salazar; and aunts: Diana Reyes, Lauren Reyes

    My heart breaks for Robert and the family for having to suffer such a great loss. D’mitri was always a sweetheart. He had the biggest heart and when he smiled you smiled. We miss you, D’mitri!     D’Mitri will forever be in my heart and always my nephew. He always stayed in touch with me and always still called me aunt B. He will forever be missed.
