Dolores “Dee” Adams

Dolores “Dee” Adams, 89, of Olathe, Kansas passed away on April 10, 2024. A celebration of life will be held at 1:30pm, April 27, 2024 at 151st Church of Christ in Olathe, KS. An internment will be held on June 1, 2024 at Holly Memorial in Adena, OH.

Dee was born on May 16, 1934 in Martins Ferry, Ohio to Joseph and Clara (Accurti) Martin. She graduated from Martins Ferry as a “Purple Rider” in 1952. Marrying Robert “Bob” Adams on October 16, 1954 after they met in Wheeling West Virginia where they both worked. Dee became a mother in 1964, adopting Robert “Bobby” Adams and gave birth in 1967 to David “Dave” Adams.

Dee had a love for all things purple! Her favorite animal was obviously cats and she collected them for years. She enjoyed cooking as her hobby and shared that love with all family and friends. Her faith in God was shown throughout the years by her devotion to St Clairsville Church of Christ and later to 151st Street Church of Christ.

Dee is survived by two siblings, Barbara Pollack of Towson, MD and Joseph Martin of St Augustine, FL; sons, Robert “Bobby” Adams of St Clairsville, OH and David “Dave” (Adreanna “Anne”) Adams of Spring Hill, KS; 5 grandchildren: Jessica, Jenifer, Joshua, Stefan and Skysja; and 9 great-grandchildren: Gage, Landon, Jaelynn, Morgan, Evelyn, Sydney, Emersyn, Beredan and Amelia.
