Dolores “Lola” Ashmore, 88, of Blue Springs, Missouri, passed away Sunday, July 7, 2024. Lola was born April 26, 1936 in Houston, Texas.
She was preceded in death by: her love of her life and husband, Wayne Ashmore.
Survivors include: daughter, Brenda Long; step-son, Gary Ashmore; step-daughter, Sandra Lempke; 5 grandchildren; 19 great-grandchildren; and 3 great-grandchildren.
Memorial gathering will be held from 2:00pm – 4:00pm Friday, July 12th, 2024 at Heartland Cremation & Burial Society, 6113 Blue Ridge Blvd. Raytown, MO 64133.
Lola was a very special person who carved a big place for herself in my heart. I feel very lucky to have had her in my life for so many years and I’m grateful for every one of them. She helped to shape me into the person I am today. Lola was an incredible person who always made me laugh and was quick to offer support during difficult times. I miss her a lot already, but she’s still here in my heart and I will carry her with me for the rest of my days.
I love you, Lola. And I’ll try my best to pay forward the love you always showed me and make you proud.
Lola was an old and dear friend to my husband and I. She always had your back! We lost touch after her husband Wayne passed away, as she took solace in the folds of the family. We are sorry to have missed the opportunity to honor her memory at the memorial service and extend our condolences to her family.
