Donald Russell Kaberline, 57, Shawnee Mission, KS, formerly Topeka, KS passed away June 12, 2006 at his home. A native of Topeka, Don volunteered for the Marine Corps after graduation from Hayden High School. He served a distinguished tour in Vietnam and was honorably discharged. He was a marketing manager at 7*Up Bottling in Topeka for nearly 20 years. After moving to Shawnee, KS he became a Team Leader in the tool department at Lowe’s. Don is survived by his wife, Linda; children, Angela Gonzalez (Brownsville, TX), Shane (Olathe, KS) and Ryan (KCMO) and six grandchilren. He is also survived by his parents, Beatrice and Jerome Kaberline (Topeka); sister, Linda Oakley and brothers, Raymond, Wayne and Michael. He is preceded in death by his sister, Nancy Singer. A military graveside service will be held 10:00 am, Wednesday, June 21 at Leavenworth National Cemetery. A fellowship service conducted by Gary (Sam) Sanford (COL.) Ret., will immediately follow at the Rock of Ages Chapel, 1017 Randolph, Leavenworth. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to the family to help with medical expenses.
