Donald Randolph Jeffers
Donald Jeffers, 74, Raytown, MO passed away April 13, 2008 at St. Joseph Medical Center. Donald was preceded in death by his parents Theodore and Mildred Jeffers. He is survived by his children, Sonya Oliver of Lake Villa, IL, and Earl R. Jeffers of Raytown, MO. Also surviving Donald are three grandchildren; Michael Oliver, Jeremy Oliver, and Chris Oliver, and two great grandchildren; Alexandria and Isabella Oliver. Donald’s Former wife, Sidney Nolan, is also surviving. Donald was born May 24, 1933 in Waltham, MA. After graduating high school Donald joined the Navy at the age of 17 and is a Korean War Veteran, for both the Navy and Air Force. After his time in the armed services he settled in the Kansas City area, and has been a resident here for 46 years. During his time in Kansas City, he was a valued employee of Western Electric were he served as a Union Steward, for a majority of his tenure, ending with his retirement in 1987. Donald was a Mason, and Shriner and was a member of the K.C. Shriners Temple. A graveside Service is planned for 1 PM Thursday April 17, 2008 at The Missouri State Veterans Cemetery in Higginsville, MO.
