Donald Shrader

Donald W Shrader 83, Lee’s Summit, MO passed away at his home Jan 5, 2008 of heart failure. Born in Nemaha, Nebraska, Don was a Navy veteran of WWII and participated at Normandy Landing. He was a long time resident of Lake Lotawana where he served in city pubic office for over 25 years, 14 of those as mayor. He was an avid pilot, hunter, 33rd degree Mason and member of Lake Lotawana Methodist Church, the American Legion and VFW. His mother, Mary Morton preceded him in death. He is survived by his wife, Jean of the home; sons Donald Shrader Jr., Steven Shrader both of Oklahoma and daughter Becky Halphin, Blue Springs. He leaves 7 grandchildren, and 9 great grandchildren. Cremation. Memorial service Tuesday Jan 8th at 2 pm. At Lake Lotawana Methodist Church. Donations may be given in his honor to the American Heart Foundation or St. Judes Hospital for Children.
