Donna Margeret McMullen, 92, of Independence Missouri passed away on February 13th at Rosewood Health and Rehabilitation located in the Groves retirement community. Graveside services will be held by the family at a time yet to be announced at the Saginaw Cemetery in Saginaw, Missouri.
Donna was born Sept. 20, 1931 to Clinton D. Wood and Mary Margeret Wood in Springfield, Missouri and grew up in Joplin, Missouri. She worked in various clerical and support positions in grade schools and a junior college, eventually working for and retiring from Southwestern Bell Telephone Co. in 1988. She was married three times, twice to the same man who she was widowed from in 2007, Jack McMullen. She was also a mother to two boys Craig and Chris with her second husband Richard Wallin until they parted in 1977. Having always been interested in antiques and collectables she spent her retirement years traveling and looking for antiques to keep an antique booth going with her husband Jack. She followed a non-conventional spiritual path the latter part of her life following the teachings of Ramtha which was extremely meaningful to her over the years. She also enjoyed watching college and professional football, primarily being a big Kansas City Chiefs fan.
She was preceded in death by both of her husbands. Her survivors include sons Richard Craig Wallin and Christopher Lee Wallin both in Kansas City, her daughter in laws Sophia Sutton and Janice Wallin, grandchildren Carrie Taylor and Clint Wallin, as well as 4 great grandchildren.
