Dorothy “Dollee” Carrillo

On Tuesday, August 20, 2024, heaven welcomed a new angel named Dollee.

Dorothy “Dollee” Carrillo (née Armijo) was born on July 29, 1943, in San Pedro, California to Victor Armijo and Opal Armijo (née Renfro). Dollee spent her early years in Albuquerque, New Mexico, alongside her beloved brother, Lee. At a young age, Dollee developed her perceptive, thoughtful nature, which served her well throughout her life.

Dollee had two daughters, many grandchildren and great grandchildren, and countless wonderful friends. She loved drinking coffee, eating at Olive Garden, and playing card games. She would usually win. “Hot Diggity” by Perry Como always made her dance.

Dollee lived in an open-hearted way. She was honest, hated gossip, and would never complain. She prayed for her loved ones daily and treated stray animals with compassion. She was a strong lady with a silly sense of humor and a big heart.

Her laughter and goodness will be forever missed.
