Dorothy Clinger

Doris Eileen Ralston Clinger, 85, of Lee’s Summit, Mo., passed away of natural causes in her home October 30, 2008. Born on January 7, 1922, in Portsmouth, Ohio, her father’s name was Wesley Homer Ralston, her mothers name was Monnie Jane Greene Ralston. Doris was married to Edwin James Clinger M.D. on March 1, 1946, in Pataskala, Ohio. She was an RN and nurse anesthetist, and later received a degree in interior design from Denver University and worked for May D&F in Denver, Colo. She also, in later years did income tax with H&R Block and finished her working career as editor of a magazine in California. She is survived by sister Jane Gauthier of California, children Karen Thorsen of Lee’s Summit, Mo., and James Craig Clinger of Denver, Colo., and also three grandchildren and two great grandchildren. Services to be determined. Burial will be in Portsmouth, Ohio.
