Dorothy L. (Delph) Kaserman

DOROTHY L. (DELPH) KASERMAN, age 84, passed away peacefully at her home in Raytown, MO August 25, 2017, after a long illness. She was born May 5, 1933, in Kansas City, MO. She was a Raytown resident for 25 years, having moved from Kansas City, MO. She graduated from East High School and earned an Associate Degree in Accounting from Penn Valley Community College. Her career included working at AT&T followed by various bookkeeping positions, and owning a bookkeeping service and an arcade.
Dorothy was full of life and enjoyed having a good time. She volunteered with Boy Scouts, enjoyed fishing, traveling, line dancing, baking, and painted several oil paintings that hang proudly in her home. She loved football, enjoyed watching various teams and was an avid Raider’s football fan, even though she often found herself at odds with friends in Kansas City.
She was preceded in death by her parents Gladys and Cleo Delph and her husband Emil Kaserman, Jr. She leaves one son Emil Kaserman III, of Raytown; Cousins Lucille and Kenneth Phillips of Raytown; and Carolyn Thomas of Lee’s Summit.
Visitation will be Friday, September 1, from 6 to 7:30 p.m. The service will be Saturday, September 2, at 10 a.m., Heartland Cremation & Burial Society, 6113 Blue Ridge Blvd, Raytown, MO.  Graveside service immediately following at Brooking Cemetery.
