Dorothy Marie Rose, born June 22, 1921, passed away on May 14, 2021 at St. Mary’s Health Center in Jefferson City, MO. She is survived by her daughter, Barbara Wolkoff (William), and granddaughters Margret Burns (Thomas) and Karen Chaney (Allen).
Dorothy was born in Little Rock, AR to Eugene and Lucille Knight. She was married to Carl M. Rose who passed away December 11, 1982. She resided at Heisinger Bluffs Care Center. Previously she resided in Austin and Houston, Texas. She worked as a teller and secretary in banks for many years before moving to Lubbock, Texas. Dorothy loved sewing, gardening, knitting, and other needle crafts. She kept in touch with her brothers, sisters, nieces and nephews sending them cards and presents each year. Dorothy will be missed by all who knew her.
A memorial celebration was held at Heisinger Bluffs on June 22, 2021 when Dorothy would have turned 100.
