Dorothy Helen McNamara, 92, of Lee’s Summit, MO passed away on March 4, 2017.
Dorothy was born in Kansas City, MO on March 21, 1924 to John and Nora Ludwig who preceded her in death. She married the late Harry J. McNamara Jr. in 1949.
Dorothy was an avid bridge player throughout her life as well as an excellent seamstress. Her crocheted afghans are still treasured by many.
Dorothy is survived by four children: Donna Jones of Unionville, MO, Pam Mock of Kansas City, MO, Nancy Faulkner (Steve), of Leawood, KS and John McNamara (Debbie) of Lee’s Summit, MO. She is also survived by 6 grandchildren, Joshua Jones, Rachel Cortesio, Kelly Mock, Leah Faulkner, Sarah Faulkner and Joe McNamara and two great-grandchildren, Hannah and Nathan Jones. She was preceded in death by two grandchildren, Adam and Eric Faulkner and her son-in-law, Larry Jones.
A visitation and rosary at 9 a.m. will precede a funeral Mass at Our Lady of the Presentation Church in Lee’s Summit at 10 a.m. on Wednesday, March 15. Burial at Memorial Park Cemetery in Sedalia, MO at 2:30 p.m.
