Deepest Condolences old friend. Looks like your old man was more of an inspiration to those around him than we ever realized as kids goofing around in your backyard all those years ago, oblivious to the reality of such eventualities. But we always knew he was a good man. May he rest in peace.

You were all such a big part of the international family in Warrensburg for many years. I always enjoyed seeing you both interact with so many students making them feel at home. You have been greatly missed. I’m the Senior Internationalization Officer at UMKC now and will share this sad news with the Math Department there. I know they must be proud of him as their alum. Love to all of you in this difficult time as you mourn the loss of such a wonderful man.

We were just sent word of Shing’s passing here at Pace, and I wanted to send my deepest condolences. I only knew your husband and dad a short time, but he was such a calming and gentle presence on the 7th floor. When told of his diagnosis, we all knew the prognosis wasn’t good, but he carried on with such dignity and grace. I will really miss him. Peace to you–and all the comfort I can send.
