Drake Thomas Whittle, 31, of Independence, passed away April 27, 2023 during his fight against brain cancer. He was born July 16, 1991 in Blue Springs, the son of Kelly Fisher and Brant Whittle. He met the love of his life, Louisa (La’ulu) Whittle, while they worked at Hallmark Distribution Center. They married September 19, 2020. They have three boys together, Kendrick (8), Kylo (4), and Knox (1).
Drake is survived by his wife Louisa Whittle, his children Kendrick, Kylo, and Knox; his parents Kelly and Caroll Fisher; Brant and Shelly Whittle; his siblings Kelsey Whittle, Jackson Love, and Kendra Whittle. He also leaves his maternal grandmother, D’Ann Kauffman; and his paternal grandparents Terry Whittle Sr. and Bonnie Schwab. He is also survived by his in-laws, many cousins, uncles, aunties, and close friends.
Funeral arrangements are being handled by family and Heartland Cremation and Burial Society. The funeral will be held on Friday
May 5th at The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints, 705 West Walnut Street, Independence, Missouri 64050. A private service for close family is at 10:00 A.M. and open to family and friends to attend at 11:30 A.M. with burial to follow at Woodlawn Cemetery.
In lieu of flowers, the family asks that you consider donations to Drake and Louisa’s three boys, there will be a box with envelopes at the service or Venmo directly to Louisa @Louisa-Whittle (if prompted the last four of her phone number is 4304).
Love you Drake! You definitely are one of a kind! So gentle, kind and love unending. You will be missed but never forgotten!
