Eddy Kuo

Eddy Kuo, age 66, passed away on Saturday June 10, 2023. Eddy was born in Taipei, Taiwan. He was one of five children. He had an undergraduate degree in Russian Language at The Chinese Culture University in Taipei. He was a Transportation Officer holding the rank as Second Lieutenant in the Republic of China Army. He was a graduate of Kansas University with a Master’s Degree in Economics. Eddy was a member of Cure of Ars Catholic Church. Prior to retirement, Eddy owned a wholesale computer distribution business. Eddy was a beloved husband, brother, father, grandfather and friend.

Preceded in death by his parents, Mr. Jun-Tu Kuo and Mrs. Xi-Whan Chang, and his older brother, Tony Kuo. He is survived by his loving wife, Kim Vu, his two older sisters, Alice Kuo and Amy Her, his younger brother, Edward Kuo, his son Brian Kuo, his stepchildren Amy Vu & Jamie Vu, and step-grandson Jameson Vu.

Eddy loved his wife. He loved her so much that he would take a nail license to assist her at her hair salon. However, after getting a 98% on his exam, practicality was not his strength. In retirement, he enjoyed eating, reading, watched KU basketball and Taiwanese news. He loved spending time with Little Jameson & Jameson’s sisters Ili & Ina. Eddy was a kind-hearted, giving, and very positive individual, both in words and in actions. He lived life with no regrets. He was trusting and only saw the best in people.

The funeral service will be held at Cure of Ars Catholic Church on June 14, 2023 at 11am. Cure of Ars Church address: 9401 Mission Rd, Leawood, KS 66206
