Edward Lee Gould

Edward Lee Gould, 76, passed away Tuesday February 11, 2014 at his home in Columbia.

A memorial service will be held at 2:00 pm Saturday Feb. 15th at the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints at 904 Old 63 North in Columbia.

Edd was married to Mary Helen Gould who proceeded him in death in 2004. He is survived by his children Nancy, Marc, Mindy, and Todd; nine grandchildren, Sage, Brooke, Skyler, Tanner, Naidelyn, Jayde, Marc, Elsie, and Ruby; and one great grandchild Eden; as well as three siblings Jim and Glen Gould of Rockport, TX, and Ann Weathers of Oklahoma City, OK.

He grew up in Woodward, OK, served in the army, married in 1960, and lived in many parts of the United States until settling in Columbia, MO where he worked in hospital administration at the VA Hospital. He loved duck hunting, fishing, woodworking, and spending time with his family and dogs. He adventured throughout the world living in England as a youth with his parents and siblings, driving the pan American highway from Missouri to Costa Rica, enjoying a unique duck-hunting experience in Argentina, and accompanying his daughter Mindy to Guatemala and Vietnam when she adopted her children, among others.
