Our beloved friend and mentor, Edwin Philip Bultman, while staying with his family in Jefferson City, MO, peacefully passed away, and had his Spiritual Graduation this past Friday, 28 Feb 2014. There will be a “Celebration of Eternal Life” memorial service for our friend, Phil Bultman, on Saturday, March 29, 2:00 PM at his New Orleans home church, Grace Community Bible Church on 10414 Jefferson Hwy in River Ridge, LA 70123. Their phone number is 504-738-9642.
Phil was a WWII and Korean War Navy veteran (The Greatest Generation, an American Hero), a loving husband to his dear wife, Bliss, a father of 3 fine children, a NOLA business man, a faithful soul winner, a Gigeon, a Sunday school teacher, a homeless provider, a regular attendee of our past LAMB Bible studies, and a past Chairman of our CEF(LAMB) ministry board. Phil was also a descendant of the Bultman Family of the recent Bultman Funeral Home. He left this world still preaching the Gospel, and will be greatly missed; but, he was joyfully ready to meet “his Maker”!! He is survived by only his two daughters. Phil had a long and good, yet at times a tough life; yet, through “thick and thin” he always kept a stiff upper lip and a positive and chereful attitude. He was a “tough old German” for sure! I loved to hear his testimony of his conversion to Christ at 1st Baptist Church of New Orleans when just a teenager.
I’m saddened to hear of the loss of my Great Uncle and Godfather. May God walk with you, Phil.
Condolences to my extended family,
Matthew
Rest in peace Uncle Phil. Thoughts and prayers out to all. Jason
Phil was a very loyal friend to anyone he knew. His obsession for giving out his John 3:16 doubloons caused many to accept Christ as Saviour. So many were touched by this caring man and he will be sorely missed. I look forward to seeing him again in heaven.
“For God so loved the world, that He gave His only begotten Son, that whosoever believes in Him, shall not perish but has eternal Life.” John 3:16
I am saddened to hear of Phils Passing! He was a mentor to me as a young man and a wonderful Christian example of Gods Love to a lost and dying world! I was fortunate to have known him! He will be sadly missed and I wish his family my heartfelt condolence!
Blessings on the family – he was a good friend and neighbor of ours since before my time. He was a great man of faith and a fine member of the community.
I knew Edwin Phillip Bultman very well during the years I was employed with the Bultman Mortuary on St. Charles Avenue in New Orleans. He and I had a very sincere friendship that lasted for many years. I am so very sad to hear that he has died. I always considered him my very best friend.
