ELAINE A. SKOWRONSKI
Elaine A. Skowronski, 69, Lee’s Summit, MO., passed away December 4, 2012 at Truman Medical Center Lakewood, after a long illness. A visitation will be held at 11 am and a memorial service following at 12 pm, Saturday, January 5, 2013, at Heartland Cremation & Burial Society, 6113 Blue Ridge Blvd, Raytown, MO. Mrs. Skowronski was born May 30, 1943 in Philadelphia, PA and raised in N.E. Pennsylvania. There she met her husband John (Jack), in June 1961 and they married in Sept. 1961. They moved to the Kansas City, MO area in Nov. 1961. Mrs. Skowronski delighted in her family and loved the holidays, especially Christmas, where she loved giving gifts to her family. She enjoyed traveling and hiking in Rocky Mountain National Park and shopping in Estes Park, CO. She is survived by her husband John and children Jacqueline (Chris) Clark of Van Alstyne, TX, John (Michele) Skowronski II of Lee’s Summit, MO, four grandchildren, one great grandchild, brother, Ralph Genuario and numerous other family members on the east coast. In lieu of flowers, the family suggests contributions be made to: Kansas City Hospice, 14500 E 42nd St Suite 240 Independence, MO 64055

Words cannot convey our sorrow caused by Elaine’s passing. We knew she was in hospice so the call from Jack was expected however when it came we were not ready for it. The friendship between us for 44 years only deepened our feelings. We know it is for the best that Elaine is at peace.
We hope that you and your families are accepting this loss. We also know it will take some time.
We will try to attend the memorial service.
