Elaine Burns LaRue, 74, Overland Park, KS, died August 14, 2009, at home surrounded by family. Memorial services will be at 2 p.m., Friday, August 21, at St. Andrew’s Episcopal Church, 6401 Wornall Terrace, Kansas City, MO. She was a graduate of the University of North Carolina, teacher, and devoted wife and mother. She was an active member of St. Andrew’s Church where she taught Sunday school and served as Directoress of the Altar Guild. She also served as President of the St. Luke’s Hospital Auxiliary. She is survived by her husband of 50 years, William W. LaRue; 2 children, and 5 grandchildren. Contributions may be made to the St. Andrew’s Church Altar Guild or the St. Luke’s Hospital Auxiliary.
