Elden Clifton Jones, 85, of Prairie Village, KS, went home to be with his Lord on June 22, 2010 at his home. Mr. Jones was born May 1, 1925 in Mt. Washington, MO, to Archie and Myrtle (Pickering) Jones. Elden served in U.S. Navy from 1943-46 in the photo corp. He then attended the University of Kansas where he received his Bachelors Degree in Geological Engineering. After graduation, he worked for a variety of companies including Westinghouse and Bendix (now Honeywell). He is survived by his wife of 59 years, Ilse; daughter, Mariell Jones, and a sister, Geraldine Coombs. A graveside service is planned for Tuesday, June 29, at 12:30 p.m., at Leavenworth National Cemetery. Memorial contributions may be made to Kansas City Hospice or Word of Life Church, 3902 NE Riverside Rd., St. Joseph, MO.
