Eleanor E. Phillips, 87, of Kearney, MO passed away January 9, 2024 at Liberty Hospital.
Eleanor was born October 16, 1937. After graduation she began a career with Macy’s and later worked for TWA Airline in the payroll department until retirement. Eleanor enjoyed competing for many years in the Gay 90’s Class at horse shows. This included side saddle and vintage costume carriage driving where she won many awards and trophies. She loved tending to her horses, flowers and many cats. She was an avid reader and well versed in many subjects. Each spring she gifted her neighbors and friends with hanging baskets of flowers. At Christmas she gifted Hickory Farms gift sets and candy. She enjoyed shopping for bargains and sharing her great finds.
She was preceded in death by: father, Alvin Phillips; mother, Virginia Phillips; brother, Larry Phillips; and sister, Sandra Hendricks.
Survivors include: niece, Christy Johnson (Phillips); niece, Leah Berti (Phillips); nephew, Scott Peery; and nephew, Joe Phillips.
