Ellen J. Barnes, age 84, passed away peacefully at home on December 3, 2023.
She is predeceased by her husband Glen aka Sonny Barnes. She is survived by her four children Jane, Cathy, Steve (wife) Denise, Eric (wife) Raquel Barnes, her sister Sharon Bachman and brother Lester Gray (wife) Rhonda, her grandchildren Brandi Magee, Sabrenia Jackson, Brittany Jackson, Patrick McBeth, Kelsey Stolte (husband) Shawn, Jordan Berry (wife) Ashley, Alexandrea Barnes, Jessica Barnes, Morgan Berry and Tyler Barnes, not to forget the numerous great grandchildren, nieces and nephews.
She was a long time member of Abundant Life Baptist Church and loved the Lord Jesus Christ above all else.
A public visitation will be held on Monday December 11, 2023 from 11:00 a.m. to noon at Heartland Cremation & Burial Society, 6113 Blue Ridge Blvd Raytown, MO 64133, immediately followed by services at Brooking Cemetery. A celebration of life after the cemetery will be held at the residence of her son, Steve, 3212 Tepee Court, Independence, MO 64057.
I know you are up there sitting next to Jesus watching over all of us! You will be forever missed but never forgotten. I love you to heaven and back. Until we meet again grandma
