Elsie Louise Moad, 71, of Holts Summit, passed away Wednesday, December 9, 2020 at her home. A graveside service will be held at 1:00 p.m., Friday, December 11, 2020 at New Liberty Cemetery in Ashland, MO. Elsie is survived by her daughter Christine (Jerad) Orey as well as her grandchildren, Lila & Caleb Conner and Wrenn & Cambell Orey.
She is also survived by 2 brothers, Billy Lammers and Lester (Leisha) Lammers, one sister, Patty (Tom) Green as well as a special nephew Doug (Jessica) Lammers who took care of her the last year of her life as well as several other nieces and nephews.
Elsie spent 20+ years as a military spouse and proudly led wives clubs, traveled/lived in many places including Germany, Albuquerque, NM, Fort Hood, TX, Fort Leonard Wood, MO and Fort Carson, CO. Elsie loved to cook and feed people by the masses, she loved her home to be the gathering spot for family and friends and everyone was always welcome. This made her well suited to her life as a military spouse, she made countless friends. After the military, she settled in Ashland and was a longtime resident. Elsie also loved to play card games, shop and anything that included her family. Her life was grounded by family, from her early life until her death.
Her parents, 1 sister and 1 daughter, Debbra Marie Conner preceded her in death.
