Emma McKenzie, 79, Independence, MO, beloved mother, sister, and grandmother, passed away January 10,2016; a life well lived. A visitation will be held at 2:00 PM on Thursday, January 14th with a memorial service to follow at 3:00 PM at Heartland in Raytown, MO. Emma was born December 23, 1936 in Kansas City, MO and was raised in Jackson County, living here most of her life. She loved her family unconditionally. She was a protector, advisor, educator, mentor and hero. She will be deeply missed and never forgotten. Survivors include her daughters, Vickie O’Connor and Brenda See; son-in-law, Bradley See; grandsons, Jonas Menaugh, Jerrod O’Connor and Jake O’Connor, and Brandon See; granddaughter, Lydia See; sister, Evie Cleland; and brothers, David and Leroy Huffine.

I think of you every day and always will. I woke up this morning and thought- I need to call mom, then I remembered I can’t anymore. I love you and will always miss you, I will still talk to you. You are my angel.
