Emma Lee Nichols, 70, of Columbia passed away Sunday, July 15, 2018. Visitation will be from 2-4pm Saturday, July 28, 2018 at Dripping Spring Christian Church, 2701 W Dripping Springs Rd, Columbia, MO 65202, with Pastor Travis Fritts officiating.
Emma was born May 31, 1948 in Versailles, MO to the late Raymond F. Morris, Sr. and Sarah (Lawson) Morris. She worked for Watlow Electric Mfg. for 25 years before her retirement in August 2016. She enjoyed being outdoors, crafting with her daughter, shopping, and visiting family and friends.
Emma is survived by her loving husband of 53 years Robert “Bobby” Nichols; her children Joe (Cindy) Morris of Hallsville, Debbie (Brian) Banister, and Wayne Nichols of Columbia; two sisters, Mary Knehans and Kathy Warren of Hallsville; two brothers, Raymond Morris, Jr. of Fulton and Ronald Morris of Carmichael, CA; two grandchildren and five great-grandchildren.
Emma was preceded in death by her parents and her little brother, Buster.

We are thinking of you in your time of loss. Emma was a wonderful lady.
Our thoughts & prayers are with all of Emma’a family at this difficult time. I feel like I grew up with her. She lived not far from me growing up. Always so kind.

Emma’s sister, Mary, was in my class at Harrisburg Schools. I remember seeing Emma at school and saw her as a nice, sweet lady. My sincerest condolences to family and friends.
Bobby, you must have had a great 53 years together. I never met her, but she must have been a special, lovely lady. My condolences to you and the family.

Emma was my second cousin (Her mother, Sarah, was my first cousin) I remember her more as a child since I was in Sedalia, Mo. My mother, Clara Henderson, was her great aunt. She was a beautiful child and I can see she was a beautiful woman. Just a blessing from God, for sure.
