Eugene Carl Laemmli

Eugene Carl Laemmli, 93, of Columbia, MO, passed away Wednesday, December 24th at Lenoir Woods in Columbia.  Memorial services will be held at Broadway Christian Church, Columbia, MO at 1:00 p.m. on Saturday January 3, 2015 followed by the internment of his ashes at the Broadway Christian Church Memorial Garden. Gene was born to the late Carl H. and Gertude (Vitt) Laemmli  on March 6, 1921 in St. Louis MO, and married Barbara  A. Brakensiek in Kirkwood, MO in 1945.  He is preceded in death by his wife, a son, Carl H. Laemmli, and brother Carl H. Laemmli Jr. He is survived by a son, Jim Laemmli and his wife Debbie, of Laurie, MO, daughter Ann Cunningham and her husband William of Cape Girardeau, MO, daughter-in law Leslie Laemmli of Overland Park, KS, his sister, Arline Simerman, of Valley Park, MO as well as 8 grandchildren, Amy Laemmli, Paul Laemmli and his wife, Cassie, Matt Laemmli, Katie Rose, Lindsay Cunningham, Whitney Laemmli, Taylor Laemmli and Kiley Laemmli. Gene was an active member of Broadway Christian Church, and requested that, in lieu of  flowers, memorial donations be made to the church at 2601 W. Broadway, Columbia, MO, 65203.
