Eugene “Gene”, Edwin Swanson Jr, 56, of Raytown, Missouri passed away December 28, 2013. A visitation will be held 2:00 – 3:00 PM, January 2, 2014 at Heartland Cremation & Burial Society, 6113 Blue Ridge Blvd, Raytown, Missouri. Memorial services will follow at 3:00 PM at Heartland. In lieu of flowers, the family requests memorial contributions be made to the family to assist with the memorial services.
He was born on June 19, 1957 to Eugene and Marcia (Coulter) Swanson in Kansas City, Missouri.
Gene is survivied by his significant other Barbara Eubank of Kansas City, Missouri; their son, David Eugene Swanson of Lee’s Summit, Missouri; sisters & brothers in law, Beverly & Vic Goodrick, Independence, Missouri, Verna Springer of Lee’s Summit, Missouri, Gloria & Marty Cox of Lee’s Summit, Missouri, Melody & Dennis Stacy of Lenexa, Kansas; six nieces & nephews and eleven great nieces & nephews.. I am in tears at the news that my friend gene passed away. Him and my husband were great friends and he helped me allot with my move from england to here. Always popping jokes and making me blush! Gene took me and my sister waterskiing at The Lake Of The Ozarks. We had the time of our lives. R.I.P. my friend.
