    My Deepest Condolences to the Family. What an honor to know this wonderful lady and friend. Evelyn volunteered with my wife and me at St. Lukes East for many years. She was also our good friend while living at John Knox Village. Evelyn will certainly be missed by many.

    To the family and friends of Miss Evelyn. I had the pleasure of knowing her only in the last year or 2 at John Knox Village. I met her playing Bingo with her other friends. I found her sense of humor so attractive. When she started to decline, I would call her or stop by the see why we missed her some nights.

    I particularly enjoyed a moment in her apartment when I got to sing her a blessing from Numbers 6:24-26.
    “The Lord bless you and keep you;
    The Lord make His face shine upon you,
    And be gracious to you;
    The Lord lift up His countenance upon you,
    And give you peace.”
    It was the last gift I got to give her. I will remember the laughs and gifts of love she shared with me for a long time. I am better for having known her. She charmed me with her stories. I’m so sorry for your loss. I grieve with you.
