Floyd Joseph “Joe” Barnett, 67, Oak Grove, Missouri passed away September 29, 2017.
Joe was born February 10, 1950 in Maryville, Missouri. He graduated in 1968 from Ruskin High School. Joe was an auctioneer for Midwest Auction Company, a family business.
He belonged to the Fort Osage Muzzleloaders and will be remembered as an avid hunter and fisherman who loved to share that passion with his children and grandchildren. Joe was an amazing and talented craftsman with many skills including; woodworking, leatherwork, silversmith, gunsmith, knife making and clock making. He custom designed and created jewelry, cabinets and furniture. Joe could fix about anything.
Joe is preceded in death by; wife, Phyllis Barnett; father, Gilbert Lee Barnett; mother, Irene Catherine Barnett; sisters, Carolyn Fist and Katrina Edwards.
Survivors include; daughter, Dawn Draper, Oak Grove, Missouri; son and daughter-in-law, Tony & Raymona Draper, Houston, Texas; brother and sister-in-law, Marty & Brenda Barnett, Grain Valley, Missouri; sister and brother-in-law, Patsy & Robert Cole, Albuquerque, New Mexico; three grandchildren; Loren and Hunter, Houston, Texas and Derek Stallman, Oak Grove, Missouri.
