Fondal Martin

Fondal D. Martin, 89, of Columbia entered into eternal rest on September 16, 2007 at her home surrounded by her loving family. Funeral services will be held at 11:00 a.m. Thursday September 20, 2007 at Parkade Baptist Church with the Rev. Chris Cook officiating. Visitation will be one hour prior to the service at the church. Mrs. Martin was born April 26, 1918 one of three children to the late Noel ?Note? and Betty ?Callie? (Gramling) Kennemore. Fondal married Dennis Boydstun in 1934 and reared two children, Betty Hawkins of Columbia and Charles D. Boydstun and wife Mari of Mexico, MO. Later she married Howard Martin and he has preceded her in death. She was a member of Parkade Baptist Church in Columbia and lived with her daughter Betty. Fondal enjoyed doing many things especially when it meant doing it for someone else such as sewing, crocheting and in her younger days was a member of the ?Golden Girls? quartet, singing in churches. She is also survived by a brother Dolford ?Doc? Kennemore of Paragould, AR, two sisters-in-law Hazel Kennemore of AR and Ernestine Kennemore of FL, six grandchildren, Charla and Herb Miller, Dewayne and Betsy Boydstun and Steven Hawkins all of TX, Barbara and Steve Howell of Phoenix, AZ, Cheryl and Larry Welch of Harrisburg and Terri Kemp of Gladstone as well as eight great-grandchildren, five great-great grandchildren and many friends.
