Frances Louise Flanagan
Frances Flanagan, 94, Independence, MO, passed away April 16, 2008 at her home. A memorial service will be held 10:30 am Tuesday April 22nd at First Baptist Church of Independence 500 W Truman Rd Independence. Visitation will begin at 9:30 at the church. She is survived by son George & wife Lyndia of Lee’s Summit, daughter Paula Farnham & husband Milo of Independence, grandchildren Jill Schachner & husband Stephen of Charlotte, NC, Joy Neill & husband Steve of Kansas City, KS, Katie Flanagan of Olathe, KS, Matthew Flanagan of Lee’s Summit, 9 great grandchildren and 1 great-great grandchild. She was preceded in death by her husband of 57 years Paul A. Flanagan. Frances was a member of the First Baptist Church if Independence for over 60 years and a member of the Independence Young Matrons for over 50 years, member of the Daughters of American Revolution Independence Pioneers Chapter and Jacomo Chapter of Sweet Adelines. She was a 1931 graduate of Northeast High School and attended college a the State Teachers College in Warrensburg. For 5 years she volunteered at the VA Medical Center.
