Frances Harding (Frances Elmer) was born in 1941 in Kansas City, MO. Growing up in Kansas City, she attended Bishop Hogan High School, class of 1958. Frances married George Harding in 1960. They had four children and settled in Lee’s Summit in 1976. Frances worked at Black & Veatch for many years, where she supervised the proofreading staff.

Frances (Faffy) enjoyed many of George’s same pursuits and she was always by his side, boating and skiing at Raintree Lake and later helping him grow his award winning dahlias. They celebrated 55 years of marriage prior to his death.  Frances was a devout Catholic attending both Presentation in Lee’s Summit and Our Lady of Perpetual Help (Redemptorist) Catholic Church in Kansas City. Faffy was warm, loving and welcomed everyone with a smile and an offer of a great meal!

Frances was preceded in death by her parents, Ralph and Connie Elmer, and her siblings, Joseph Elmer, Charles Elmer, and Mary Fennelly. Also preceded in death were her husband, George Harding and her daughter, Ellen Shaw.

Survivors include her children, Connie Aubin, Francie & Todd McMickell, and George & Mary Harding; her grandchildren (they called her Bommer!), Chris & Sarah Aubin, Frankie & Bethany Aubin, Katie & Bob Diefenbacher, Danny & Maria Aubin, Brad (& Julia Boudreau) Aubin, Jenni Shaw (& Evan Hughes), George Harding, Thomas Harding, Ty Lawson, Hanna McMickell, and Willow McMickell; and 12 great-grandchildren.
