Francisco Vargas Romero, aged 80, of Camuy, Puerto Rico, passed away on Thursday, February 15, 2024, in Kansas City, Missouri. He was known for his stern yet outgoing personality, always loving his family and friends. Francisco had a great sense of humor, enjoying telling jokes and sharing laughter with those around him. Francisco was also known as “Paco or Paquito”, this what his friends and family called him.

He is survived by his daughter, Milagros Rivera; brother, Jose Vargas; sister, Maria Elena Vargas; son-in-law, Israel Rivera; grandchildren, Amanda Lynn, Christian Rivera, and Stephanie Rivera; as well as cousin Sonia Romero. Francisco was preceded in death by his father, Mateo Vargas; mother, Emilia Romero; sister, Carmen Vargas; and brother, Aracelio Vargas.

Francisco pursued a career as an Assistant Chef and found joy in his hobbies, which included listening to music, dancing, and playing dominoes. His life will be honored at a service held by Heartland Cremation & Burial Society on February 20, 2024, from 2pm to 4pm in Raytown, MO.
