Frank Maurice Henderson, aged 78, passed away in Columbia, Missouri on July 30, 2025. He is survived by his son, John Henderson; his daughter, Catherine Hall; and his grandchildren, Jordan and Hunter Hall. Frank was preceded in death by his wife, Regina Marie Henderson, on August 1, 2024.
Frank was born on March 9, 1947 in Jackson, Tennessee to Alton and Sarah Henderson. He was the second oldest of three children. Frank graduated from Davis High School in Davis, California in 1966 and later graduated from Memphis State University in Memphis, Tennessee. He lived with his family in Jasper, Florida for many years before returning to Tennessee, and later to Columbia.
Throughout his life, Frank worked as a newspaper photographer, teacher, mechanic, and truck driver. He was an avid beekeeper and enjoyed woodworking and playing the banjo.
No funeral or memorial service will be held. In lieu of flowers, the family suggests a donation to the World Wildlife Fund.
Dear John, Catherine, and beloved family of Frank and Regina. My sincere heartfelt prayers for your loss. I’ll keep your family in my prayers. Frank was my first cousin. Alton was my mother’s brother. I lost touch with Frank and Regina once they moved from Jasper but I have fond memories of them both when I was living with Oleta. I pray God’s peace be with you all at this time. Love to each of you,
