I am at a loss for words, I was one of Fred’s childhood (early teenage)friends that lost touch with Fred through life and have fond memories of him. we lived close enough to hang outin Jr high and discovered bands like Van Halen and AC/DC together, we would hang out at the Mall and my next door neighbors house wen ever he had a party. I considered Fred my best friend in those days but I ended going to Truman and he to Chrisman and that is when we grew apart. I was fortunate enough to run into him when he was working on his grandparents house, It was good to see him again! I wished that we could have took the time to reconnect but such is life. I cannot even begin to express the sadness in my heart that goes out fr his family…Fred was a man with a big smile an a Bigger Heart! Rest in peace old friend…..sincerely…Donnie Cureton

Hi, I met Fred in Atchison KS. I just found out about his passing today April 19th. I can’t believe he is gone. There isn’t any coming back and I wonder if Fred really got that. He had the biggest heart of anyone I knew and had such love for his family, especially his grandchildren. I can’t imagine the pain his wife Lisa has right now or his 4 amazing kids. They will be in my prayers. Fred is definitely at home with his Maker, making everyone with him smile and laugh. His time here was cut short. So tragic.
