George A. Diehl (Lefty), age 82, passed away on April 29, 2009 at Lakewood Long Term Care Center in Lee’s Summit, MO. He was born in Kansas City, MO to Forrest and Opal Diehl on September 26, 1926. He graduated from Southeast High School and was a Veteran of WWII. Lefty and his late wife Pat had lived in Climax Springs, MO for over 20 years. Mr. Diehl is preceded in death by his wife Marilyn Patricia (Pat) Diehl and his brother Leroy G. Diehl. He is survived by his daughter Janet Aletha Carter of Palm Springs, CA; his sister Shirley Steehn of KCMO; his brother Marvin E. Diehl of Humansville, MO; and many nieces and nephews. The family is holding a private ceremony to honor Mr. Diehl. Memorial contributions may be made to Kansas City Hospice.
