George Taylor

George C. Taylor, 80, Overland Park, KS passed away at home on February 13, 2006. Cremation. Services will be private. Memorial contributions may be made to the American Cancer Society and to the Salvation Army. George was born December 6, 1925 in Visalia, CA, the only son of Emery and Flora Taylor. He served with valor in WWII with the United Stated Navy’s Destroyer fleet in the Pacific theatre. His professional life was spent in the telephone and communications industry. In his semi-retirement years, George was active in the Overland Park Downtown Business Association. He also was a part-time employee of the Kansas City Star working as a carrier and verifier. George is survived by his wife, Lois, of the home; son, Jeff Taylor of Troy, Alabama; daughter, Laurie Taylor of Hereford, Arizona; stepdaughter, Kathryn Ingram of Dallas, Texas; six grandchildren and seven great-grandchildren. The family wished to thank the St. Luke’s Hospice staff for the loving care given to George.
