George Schaefer, 88, Stover, MO passed away June 2, 2014 at the Laurie Care Center, in Laurie, MO. A military Graveside Service is planned for 2:00 PM, Friday June 6, 2014 at The Missouri State Cemetery in Higginsville, MO. George was born January 25,1926 in Sugarland, TX to George and Hilda Schaefer. He is preceded in death by his parents, a sister Viora Wagner, step-daughter Virginia Ryan, and an infant son Sheldon Wayne Schaefer. He is survived by his wife of 48 years, Doris of the home, brother R.H. Sanders of Texas, his children; George Schaefer, Jr. of Houston, TX, Douglas Schaefer (Peggy) of Salado, TX, Sharon Webb (Frank) of Biloxi, MS, his step-daughters; Carol Jenkins (Mark) of Medford, OR, Jane McCall (Chuck), of Minneapolis, MN, 10 grandchildren, 19 great-grandchildren and 2 great-great grandchildren.
