Georgia Clark

Georgia Clark, 70, Independence, passed away March 11, 2010 after a battle with cancer. A memorial gathering will be held from 1-3 PM Sat. Mar. 20, 2010 at Heartland Cremation, 6113 Blue Ridge Blvd, Raytown. Georgia was born November 25, 1939 in Blytheville, Arkansas to John C. and Maudene (Wainscott) Garrett. Georgia was a longtime resident of Independence, as well as spending time in Columbia, MO. She retired from the Columbia, MO V.A. Hospital in 2001, where she worked as an administrative assistant. Georgia enjoyed spending time with family and friends, especially her grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents and a brother John R. Garrett. Georgia is survived by her husband of 15 years, Ronnie Clark, children; Beth Lark (David) of Raytown, MO, Carrie Couzens of Nevada, MO, John Couzens (Carol) of Independence, MO, Bill Couzens (Somer) of Columbia, MO, stepchildren; Tom Clark (Mary), Terry Clark, and Tina Clark, all of Linn, MO. Twelve grandchildren also survive Georgia; Travis Couzens, Tiffany Couzens, Britny Bragg, Amanda Lark, John Lark, Hailey Lark, Billy Couzens, Ethan Couzens, Brandon Couzens, Dylan Clark, Nicole Clark, and Derrick Clark. Also surviving Georgia is her ex-husband and father of her children Clarence Couzens of Raytown, MO and a host of nieces, nephews and friends. In lieu of flowers the family requests memorials to The American Cancer Society.
