Gerard E. Holterback, 51, Walsenburg, Colorado passed away March 20, 2017 in Blue Springs, Missouri from a tractor trailer accident.
Gerard was born October 19, 1965 in New Brunswick, New Jersey. He was an avid hunter, fisherman and loved to go motorcycle riding. In his downtime, he enjoyed spending time with his family. Gerard also attended Cotopaxi Community Church, with his brother Steve, and he also volunteered at the church. He was a very hard worker and had a successful career as an owner-operator.
Gerard was preceded in death by; his son, Brian in 2014; father, William Holterback and mother, Grace Nichols. Survivors include; son, Craig and his wife Ashley; daughter, Rachel and Eric all of Pennsylvania; brothers & sisters-in-law, Steve & Debbi, Glen & Frances, Will & Megan; sisters & brothers-in-law, Christine & Jack Gerber, Dale & Roger Davis; and the wife of his father, Nancy Holterback.
Gerard was blessed with many wonderful grandchildren. He also had several nieces and nephews with great nieces and nephews.

Such a bullhead but my bullhead for many years… I am soo very sorry for my children at this time… I pray they find peace in their heart… They have been through too much grief ???

Dear Deb and Steve: I was so sorry to learn of the loss of Steve’s brother. My heart broke for the both of you and all of the family. The void can never be filled but may you find comfort and peace in knowing that, thanks to our wonderful Lord Jesus Christ, death has been conquered and Gerard’s candle is burning brightly with our Lord. You know how much we love you. Know that we are always here for you. With our deepest sympathy.

I give my condolences to everyone about what happened to my great uncle I didn’t know him that will but he was kind to me and my brother me and my family are sad about what happened.
