Geroge “Bart” Geerlings

George “Bart” Geerlings, 42, of Overland Park, Kansas, died Wednesday, December 12, 2007, at his home. Bart, a Christ follower, dedicated father, husband, son, brother and friend, was a non-smoker who courageously fought advanced lung cancer for two years. Bart believed deeply in God’s grace and mercy, and knew salvation through Jesus Christ. Bart wants the world to know that the thing God wants most from us is to simply trust Him. All things good flow from trust in God. He is survived by his wife, Leasa; his son Grant; his parents, George and Jane Geerlings of Springfield, Mo.; brother Jack Geerlings and family of Ferndale, Mich.; and sister Ann Smith and family of Willow Park, Texas. Memorial services will be held at 11 a.m. on Saturday, December 15, at Westside Family Church, 8500 Woodsonia Dr., Lenexa, Kan. (on the corner of K-7 and 83rd Street).
