Gina Barker

Gina Marie Barker, 46, of Independence, Missouri passed away January 7, 2019. Gina was born February 28, 1972 in Kansas City, Missouri to Joe and Linda Barker. She graduated from Fort Osage High School in 1990.

Gina enjoyed music and going to concerts. She particularly loved to listen to Sugarland and Stevie Nicks. She also loved spending time with all of her nieces and nephews. Many Sunday afternoons were spent watching her favorite sports team, the Kansas City Chiefs.

A visitation will be held Wednesday, January 16, 2019 from 6:00pm – 7:00pm at Heartland, 6113 Blue Ridge Blvd., Raytown, MO 64133. A memorial service will follow at 7:00pm.

Gina is preceded in death by her father Joe Barker and grandparents.

Gina is survived by her mother Linda Barker, two brothers Joey (Amy) Barker and Gary (Laurie) Barker, nieces Mya Barker, Kaylee Brown, and Alexis Grant, and nephews Joey Barker and Lukas Barker.

    Gina was a wonderful friend growing up. I was very sorry to hear about losing her sweet sole at such a young age. She will be missed and my thoughts and prayers are with her family and friends.

    Gina has been my best friend since High School, she always called us forever friends and I will miss her every day. She was a special person and I am lucky to have had her as my friend. My condolences to all who loved her, we will carry memories of her with us always.
