Gina was born January 15, 1956 in Kansas City, Missouri. She was raised in Sugar Creek Missouri and worked as a pharmacy tech at Independence Regional Hospital and then joined the travel industry as a ticket agent for TWA and later Delta where she made many lifelong friends and began traveling the world.

Gina loved the ocean, good food, the Chiefs, a whole lot of tv shows, movies and music especially Disco and Motown. She loved oldies music and singing her theme song “I will survive”. Gina was so proud to be a Nana and loved all her grandchildren so much, who also loved her very much. She was a fighter and fought to stay with her family until her last breath. We know she was welcomed into the loving arms of her Mother, Father, and Brother whom she has missed every day they have been gone. She will be painfully missed by her daughters, family, friends and everyone that loved her. She was one of a kind and a beautiful soul.

She is preceded in death by: father, Steve Stanic; mother, Bianca Stanic and her brother, Steven Stanic Jr. Survivors include: daughters, Stefania Stanic and Lamees Aljarrah; sons-in-law, James Donaleski Jr and Mohammad Shilbaya; grandchildren, Chaz Florido, Nino Florido, Bianca Donaleski, Zehna Shilbaya and Sulaiman Shilbaya.

In lieu of flowers memorial contributions may be made to Gina’s grandchildren’s education fund with checks made payable to Stefania Stanic.

How to describe this beautiful soul? Was there anyone or anything that she did not passionately love. She will be missed by so many of us who fell beneath her spell. I will miss her hugs and her husky voice as she said “Bella”. Fly high my friend. You are loved.
