Harry Leland Hiestand

Harry Leland Hiestand, 86, of Kansas City, Missouri passed away November 9, 2022. A Celebration of Life will be held from 1-3pm, Friday, November 18, 2022 at Heartland Cremation and Burial Society, 6113 Blue Ridge Blvd, Raytown, MO 64133.  In lieu of flowers, the family suggests contributions in memory of Harry Hiestand, to The Research Foundation, for the Teresa Hiestand Hofbauer Memorial Endowment Scholarship Fund, 2316 E. Harry was born September 24, 1936 in Kansas City, Missouri to Harry H. and Lela M. (Myers) Hiestand. He graduated from East High School in 1954 and worked many years for Armco and Sheffield Steel before he retired in the 1988. After he retired, he continued to work part time doing home remodeling. He enjoyed auctions and estate sales, and always came home with a bargain or something unique to add to his collection.

He is preceded in death by his parents; siblings Shirley Speck, Donald Hiestand, and James Terrell; and daugther Teresa Lynn Hiestand. Harry is survived by his siblings Letty Freeland and Carolyn Spiller; children Harry (Rebeca) Hiestand, Danny (Marcia) Hiestand, and Brian (Wendy) Hiestand; grandchildren Harry, Ryan, Austin, Jessica, Spencer, Kyle, Lauren, Ashley, and Veronica; great grandchildren Hazel, Keeton, Camp, Liam, Simon, Penelope, Graham, Wells, Elijah, Rylie, Addyson, Ari, Chase, Ella and Decklin.
