Heidi Hannelore Haufe Butters

She was born in Salt Lake City, Utah April 8, 1964. The daughter of Bruno and Hannelore Haufe. She was the second eldest out of the four children, also the second girl out of the three. Heidi served a mission in Michigan for 18 months.

She was Married to Mark Brig Butters On January 18, 1992. Later that year in November Mark and her had their first baby. They named him Joshua Mark Butters. She loved the name Joshua it was her favorite name from the bible.

1995 She and Mark had their second baby. She was given the name of LoriAnn Lynne Butters. Lynne was shortened from the name Evelyn from Mark grandma’s name.

1996 she had her third baby. She was named Marydee Christine Butters. Named her after Mary Alice Butters and Paul Dee Butters, Marks parents names. Christine was a name that Heidi and Mark found pretty.

1999 she had her fourth baby. They named her Heidi Nicole Butters. To not get confused with her mom she was called Nicole.

In 2008 she had a miscarriage to a baby boy named Christopher Bruno Butters.

2012 she had her first grandchild from her daughter Marydee. He was named Raymond Gene Chatwin. He is her little Ray of Sunshine. 2015 the second grandchild was born his name is Dakoda Mark Chatwin. He is her little Koda Bear.

2017 her third grandchild was born he was named Jason Lee Chatwin. He didn’t get his nickname till a little later in life she called him Caveman.

2020 her fourth grandchild was born he was named Xavion Dee Chatwin He also didn’t get his nickname till a little later in life. She called him Pig Pen from the character of The Peanuts. In 2022 her fifth grandchild was miscarried and she was named Iriah Heidi Butters.

In 2026 her son Joshua and his wife Tarah had their first baby. It was Heidi’s sixth grandchild and her name is Octavia Rae Butters. Heidi didn’t get to meet her new granddaughter, but she loves her granddaughter with the same amount of love.

In early 2020 Heidi was diagnosed with Polycystic Kidney Disease. Nicole was the main caregiver, with her sibling’s and dad’s help when they could. Her daughter Nicole helped her with her healthcare journey. Becoming the best of friend that Heidi ever had. She fought her battle until September 28, 2026.

Heidi liked gardening from the vegetables to the fruit trees and to the flowers. She liked to craft things, especially crocheting things for her loved ones and herself. She liked all animals the cows and chickens were her favorite. She enjoyed the outdoors. Her favorite cartoon is The Peanuts her favorite characters are Snoopy, Wood Stock, and Pig Pen. Her favorite show is Murder She Wrote. She helped those that needed help when she could.

Even though she is no longer here with us on earth, she forever will be in our hearts. She is in a place where she can run again and do the things she enjoys and spend time with other loved ones. She has a strong belief and testimony in our Lord Jesus Christ and Heavenly Father.
